How do we get there & how many typically go?

We depart SCSU on Friday, March 4th and will return either late Saturday or early Sunday March 13th. To get there we will charter a bus from Key Ministries for the 36-hour ride to Cibecue. There will be about 30 slots available for this trip.

How much will it cost?

We are asking everyone that goes to contribute $249. This pays for transportation and meals for the entire week and will be about half of our total project budget. The remainder of our $14,000 budget we will raise as a team.

As always, if you want to go and you can’t afford it, don’t let money be an issue! Just sign up, talk our staff, and pack your bags – your going. God will make it happen!!

Where do we stay when we’re there?

There are men’s and women’s bunkhouses that are equipped with wood stoves, electricity & showers.

What will we be doing down there?

We’ll be working on projects for the little mission church we visit – hopefully building a youth center & playground for Apache children, putting on a Vacation Bible School, painting and fixing up Apache homes, distributing Bibles, having Bible Studies, hosting a meal for the Apaches, putting on a Wednesday night evangelistic event for Apache children, having LOTS of fun, etc. etc. & more!

Why should I go?

To bring Jesus’ words to life, to be “doers of the word and not hearers only,” to show Christ’s love to the Apache people, to grow your faith, to get a taste of the missions field, to see how big God really is and to have a Spring break you’ll never, ever forget!

What if I’ve already gone to Arizona?

Go again! It’s just like seeing a great movie again – you will see and learn things that you missed the first time you went. It gets better each time.

Where can I get more information?

Talk with Elizabeth, Aaron, Paula, Christine, Amer, Yimi, Samantha, Kayleen, Andrea, Tiara, or Casey.  They’ve been to Arizona and can tell you all about it.  Also, starting in January we will have weekly informational & planning meetings in Atwood. Stay tuned!!

What if I’m not religious?

Like all InterVarsity events, this trip is open to all who want to participate — just come along and help out. We want to assure you that you will not be pressured or “pressurized” in any way, shape or form.
